Thomas Åke Pettersson
March 17, 1964 – December 7, 2017
Our friend and teammate Thomas died in a tragic biking accident on December 7, 2017 while on vacation in Hawaii. He was the beloved partner of Carolyn Clute, and son of Siv and Sten-Åke Pettersson of Sweden. As many of us know, Thomas had a lifelong love affair with the game of golf. He dedicated a lot of time developing the golf community at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, and served as president of the park’s golf club for several years. Thomas was also a member of the Olympic Club where he spent many hours at the practice facility and playing with many OCC participants over the years. The Petterson Family request Donations in lieu of flowers, which can be made to The First Tee of San Francisco ( http://www.thefirstteesanfrancisco.org) where Thomas served as a volunteer and coach over the years. Thomas will be truly missed.
